Conclusion

In Dschang, as in much of Cameroon, generating deep systemic change is difficult due to persistent institutional barriers. Even without these barriers, the current educational and cultural environment makes it challenging to design meaningful development models or technological tools.

This difficulty arises from a profound disconnect between scientific practice, indigenous knowledge systems, and lived local realities.

Addressing this challenge requires a shift in approach—a holistic and systemic way of understanding technology, development, and society, rooted in local contexts and endogenous values.
